Now, the world cup has begun. Finally, we had some close games and some shocking results. Tuesday’s game raised the popular question again- Is England choking again? This is a legitimate question; particularly after knowing that England is due to play India and New Zealand in its spare fixtures. Moreover, examining England’s run against these two sides in the World Cup makes us preempts the circumstance that maybe, the Cup is not coming home!
However, one thing is sure that Australia, an understated team before the tournament, booked its ticket for the semi-final spot after humbling England in the home of cricket. It is intriguing to see how the Kangaroo’s change themselves according to the needs of the tournament. Albeit, with 3 places remaining, New Zealand’s match against Pakistan will tell us whether India will be fighting for the two spots left after the Kiwi’s win or Pakistan will carry on the 1992 World Cup dream run with identical results in 2019.

Although the West Indian men are out of the tournament yet, there is no hiding the fact that they can still hurt India where it matters the most. The men in blue might have won in the past but the Caribbean has always made the subcontinent side dance on its Calypso tunes.
As the clock ticks to the epic encounter and the met department also indicating a bright and sunny day, here are some of the key battles that will catch everyone’s eye.

He takes wickets, he runs the batsmen out(Tamim Iqbal’s run out) and he contributes with his fielding, and after all this, the departing batsman has to deal with the special Cotrell salute.

Shai Hope vs Shami
Shai Hope has not been able to convert his starts into a significant ton and, this has hindered his side. If he transforms his start into a big inning against India then, that will not only increase his confidence but also will help the team to post a big total.
The hattrick, against Afghanistan, was a big morale booster for Mohd Shami. It was against West Indies where he caught everybody’s attention and, that was the reason why he is playing in the World Cup. He will be eyeing a good show in the next match in order to claim his stake in the team-list in the coming matches.
