Top 5 songs of the 2010s (English)

Spread the word

We are back with our picks for the week. We just can’t let 2019 get away without looking back at the best of almost everything. This time we are counting down the best tracks that were a part of nearly everyone’s playlist. We will be having a separate playlist for the top Hindi tracks, as we believe it deserves and wouldn’t be fair to include it here. Without further ado, let’s jump right into it.

Arctic Monkeys – Do I Wanna Know

They have come a long way to deserve this. The indie rock band delivered one of their best productions, and we firmly think that they managed to create one of the best tracks of this decade.

Fun – Some Nights

Oh, the Gospel piano chords. You can’t listen to fun without appreciating the creative genius of the band. No wonder some nights found its way into every club around the world and also a deserved spot on the billboard charts.

Adele – Rolling in the Deep

“You had my heart inside of your hands” trust me, Adele, you got us all in your hands. This melancholic and upbeat song not only was a significant breakthrough for Adele as an artist but is undoubtedly one of the best tracks we have heard in a very long time.

Daft Punk feat Pharrell Williams – Get Lucky

The iconic French electronic duo is nothing short of a legend and for a good reason. The uniqueness of the band reflects in this track that is groovy to the core. The beautiful culmination of acoustic and electronic is something that Daft Punk executes magnificently.

Katy Perry – Teenage Dream

This track was indeed a part of the teenage dream of youth around the world. The sound is mostly contemporary pop coupled with the exceptional vocal power of none other than Katy Perry herself. Madonna – Pass the crown already.

Kendrick Lamar – Alright

Kendrick gave his all, and it was only evident. Not every song has the power to be Grammy recognized, platinum-certified, street ratified, and a fresh nominee for activist endorsements. All that and you can chant it loud in the open with the same savageness and enthusiasm. That’s the power of this track. Give it an ear if you haven’t already.

So here we go. Please don’t judge us if your favourite did not make the list. We can’t stress this enough, but we love all the good songs out there. It is just that the ones listed here are a class apart.
