Finally, the Yoga day is here. Indeed, this day is special and a special thanks should be given to our honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji for promoting it. His influence on this day is impeccable. He has made even the laziest of people come out and be happy enough to stretch their muscles alongside him.
Past research has shown heart attack rates have declined in among 35- to 74-year-olds. But for the new study, researchers wanted to look specifically at how many younger people were having heart attacks.
They included data from a multi-state study of more than 28,000 people hospitalized for heart attacks from 1995 to 2014. The results showed 30 percent of those patients were young, age 35 to 54.
More importantly, they found the people having heart attacks were increasingly young, from 27 percent at the start of the study to 32 percent at the end.
the Prime Minister has presented this Yoga Day as “Yoga for the heart” and stated that “We should make efforts to take yoga from cities to villages, tribal areas. Yoga is above the region, above faith, above everything.”
The PM also stressed that for yoga to become popular, infrastructure for it must be strengthened and said the government was working towards it.
Urging people to make yoga a part of their daily lives, Modi said, “Peace and harmony are related to yoga. People across the world must practice it.”
Not only Modi but also the armed forces and celebrities endorsed this peaceful and effective practice and here is a glimpse into what the 5th International Yoga Day has been so far.

I am so humbled and grateful to be a part of two amazing businesses that is making a difference in people’s lives through yoga and mindfulness where I also don the hat of a co founder along with my partner @sarvesh_Shashi. On this occasion of International Yoga day, I only have one request to everybody – Make Yoga, Fitness, mindfulness and wellness into a lifestyle and not just a one hour practice! India is the birth place of yoga. Let’s be proud about this beautiful practice and it’s benefits. Happy International day of Yoga to all. Lots of love, lots of light and lots of happiness to everybody! A quick yoga exercise: Close your eyes, Take a deep breath in, hold for 10 seconds and gently breathe out( breathe with your nostrils ). 😊 Tell me how did you just feel? @sarvayogastudios @thedivayoga
